In this first 2006 Northern Lights conference we will explore how can we develop a supportive and creative climate in schools, celebrate what is working well and build on our success stories.

Looking at schools with an appreciative eye, we can learn and share new ways to create an encouraging culture for educating young people, where learning happens naturally.

Research shows that people learn best when they feel safe, held, appreciated, yet challenged.

Our conference is designed to be a learning community where we share examples and techniques of good practice in a way that will inspire us to go back to our place of work fully aware of our own crucial potential to effect positive change.
