Download Final Programme 2011.doc After more than 200 years of fragmentation and specialisation, our knowledge systems are leading us on a journey back into wholeness. As we increasingly experience ourselves as living beings within a living system, our embodied wisdom bears fruit. New ways of learning are developing to harvest this knowledge. The conference will shine a spotlight on the work that is already happening in schools and colleges, to bring entire communities back into creative harmony with their environment. Teachers, parents and pupils will showcase their experiences in a variety of creative media – art, song, drama, dance and using the art of confident speaking. Related workshops will bring these experiences to life. Our aim is to create a unified learning community that inspires life-long creativity and learning – the divergent thinking that young people are experts at and that can reinvigorate educational settings. Northern Lights 2011 builds on themes which were introduced in previous conferences, showing how we can become fully present in our professions by being intimately engaged in the larger canvas of our lives, as artists of our own being.
